CD Projekt has outlined the worldwide release schedule for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, revealing that the title will debut on September 29 at 12:00 in Poland. All global rollout times are tied to this base time, meaning players located further west will gain access earlier in the day.
The remastered version is scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It will function as a free upgrade for existing owners of the base game. Additionally, the remaster marks the first time the franchise will be sold via Battle.net on PC.
Pre-loading will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Battle.net editions, as these represent entirely new platforms for the game. For existing platforms such as GOG, Steam, Epic, Xbox, and PlayStation, the remaster arrives as an update that cannot be downloaded in advance.
Players can look forward to a range of upgrades spanning graphics, performance, and gameplay mechanics. Enhancements include revised combat, adjusted traversal and movement, updated effects for witcher signs, and modified horse controls. Monster behavior has also been refined alongside revisions to the skill tree, while transmogrification, an expanded photo mode, and new finishers are introduced.
The remaster precedes the launch of Songs of the Past, the third expansion for The Witcher 3, which is scheduled for release in 2027. Ahead of the release, fans recently discussed an official comparison video contrasting original gameplay with remastered footage, drawing mixed reactions regarding reflections despite increased armor and water detail.
