Counter-Strike 2’s latest official update is small in download size, but unusually practical for players who follow the skin economy or keep a crowded inventory.
The Major shop gets better context
Valve has added seven-day low and high sticker prices to the IEM Cologne 2026 Major shop. That extra range is more useful than a single current price: it gives buyers a quick sense of whether a sticker is moving, settling or being pushed by short-term demand.
The main menu now also includes a sticker showcase on the Cologne Major shop tile. It is a presentation change, but one that makes the tournament collection feel less buried inside CS2’s increasingly busy front end.
Storage units finally lose some friction
The standout quality-of-life addition is multi-select support when moving items into or retrieving them from storage units. Collectors have asked for less repetitive inventory management for years, and this targets exactly that pain point.
Valve also added clearer errors when a full inventory blocks Weekly Care Package, Armory or Major-shop rewards. None of this changes a round on Mirage, but it makes the ecosystem around the game noticeably less awkward.
Guild take
Cologne is clearly the centre of CS2’s current presentation cycle. The competitive spectacle brings the attention; these quieter interface changes make it easier for regular players to engage with the event without fighting the menus.
